First Blog Post
This is my first blog post on health and fitness. I am a 59-year-old obese man. I need to improve my health and fitness. This blog is an effort to document my journey back to health.
Todays health stats as of 8:14 AM
Blood Pressure: 128/66
Pulse: 97
Blood Glucose: 73
30 Day Average Blood Pressure: 141/72
30 Day Average Pulse: 96
30 Day Average Blood Glucose: 96
Exercise: walked 2771 steps, or a distance of 1.42 miles. Average speed was 2.84 mph. Still not where we want the pace to be. According to one reference, a brisk waking speed is between 2.5 mph and 3.75 mph. We are in the range. Our goal is to get our waking speed up to 3.5 mph.
Meds: Saturday screwed up my normal schedule. I did not take my insulin until 9:30 PM. I took my insulin at 6:44 PM today. I am not going to have the time to have two injections of Byetta today. I am going to try and take my Byetta today between 8:00 and 9:00 PM, just before I eat a late dinner.
Comment: BP is good. Pulse is high, but then it always seems high. BG is a little low. We want it low in order to take few meds.
